Digital Design
Michael's digital design project began in high school and continued through his college career. The items featured in this portfolio reflect his most interesting projects: Client Projects, Building Virtual Worlds, Videography, Web Design, and Second Life 3D design. His clients projects are part of his course work at Carnegie Mellon University in the Entertainment Technology Center and in the School of Architecture.
His digital film works are from his first semester course work in Visual Story. His Second Life design work was in the spring of 2008 with the Digital Worlds Institute interdisciplinary research course. This research led to co-authorship in the ALICE Library Project: Improving the library experience in Second Life paper presented at SLEDcc 2008, September 5, 2008. He is also currently leading a team of lighting design students at Carnegie Mellon in "branding" the Pittsburgh Technology Center with light under Cindy Limauro.
